Uh I don't think I'd ever do it in a crowded place full of non-Muslims :-/ I dislike how free people feel (at least in Denmark) to tell you (a stranger to them) how much they dislike Islam and Muslims (very much including reverts). I'd also search for a more quiet place, like Sabeehah wrote :-)
If you remember Sis Bint Mahmood - from my blog, I did pray in a library here in Prague that was a 16th Church and it was a quiet spot in the hallway, so that was a pretty cool experience that I had with a Pakistani brother who also studies medicine here.
Other than that, I've stuck to the home or masajid. :-)

While I have performed salaah in some weird places, I must admit I try to find a more quiet, secluded place :)
